The Annnual Meeting of the Texas Shorthorn Association was held June 14, 2008, in Glen Rose.  Election of officers and board members was held.  Ronald Gooch, Perryton, of Greenbelt Shorthorns was honored by being selected as the 2008 Pioneer Shorthorn Breeder. The 2008 Progressive Shorthorn Breeder award was given to Bill and Dolores Jenkins of Big Spring. The Jenkins operate 44 Cattle Company-BDJ Shorthorns. Congratulations to both for their accomplishments.

ROVS JB Little Man will be a tremendous herd sire.  He is deep, thick and massive boned. His dam, ROVS Augusta Vortec W130 was 2006 Grand Champion in San Antonio and 2007 Grand Champion in Fort Worth.
